    The last E85...

    BMW Z4 E85The last Z4 of the E85 body style rolled off the line this past Thursday (8/28/2008). Other than the 318ti, I'd have to say the Z4 was probably the most un-loved BMW in the modern era. Even still, with its polarizing design and debut in the after-wake of the tech bubble, it still managed to lead the roadster segment by a large margin for the majority of its lifecycle.

    Z4's will always have a special place in my heart as they were cars I always aspired to own, growing up.

    Above, you'll find the actual Z4 that started it all: a 2005 2.5i loaner from Stevens Creek BMW which I somehow wound up with right around my 18th birthday. A year later, I would acquire a Z4 of my own...
